These days social media is flooded with people providing relationship advice. Mine is not necessarily advice, but I am a successful and independent woman who reentered the dating scene as an adult post speration about three years ago.
In that time, I have reflected on what I know about relationship dynamics, how women think and what I notice about the men in my life. One of these things I have thought about is the different way men approach control in relationships and women's responses to their actions.
Strong and focused women not need a man but may want them in their lives. So, how a man approaches and treats them detemines what energy she comes with. Men who take control versus ones who have controlling behaviors get very different reactions and results from women with substance. One approach fosters a space for his masculinity in their dynamic and allows her to lean into her feminine and the other will shut it all down and put a wall between them.
